Ozone Sauna vs. Infrared Sauna: Which One Is Right for You?
Both make you sweat. They do it differently. A side-by-side look at heat, time, what you feel afterwards, and which one suits which goal.

Infrared saunas are everywhere in metro Atlanta. Ozone steam saunas are rarer, which is why we get this question at almost every consultation.
How each one heats you
Infrared uses light panels that warm your body directly in dry air, usually 120 to 140°F, over 30 to 45 minutes. Ozone steam uses moist heat inside a sealed pod, so sweating starts sooner at a lower air temperature, and ozone is circulated through the steam so it reaches the skin.
What you feel
- Infrared: a slow, dry warmth. Easy to read a book in. Sweat arrives late.
- Ozone steam: a classic steam-room heat with your head out in cool air. Sweat arrives within minutes. Clients describe a deeper, sleepier calm afterwards.
Time and hygiene
Ozone sessions are 45 minutes. Because the pod is a single-person unit sealed at the neck, it is sanitized between every client, and ozone itself is a disinfectant. Shared infrared cabins depend on wipe-downs between users.
Which one, then?
- You want a gentle, dry warm-up you can do daily: infrared.
- You want a strong sweat, skin contact with ozone, and a full reset in under an hour: ozone steam.
- You are pairing sauna with lymphatic work: ozone steam first, then the table. That is our combo.
Trying ozone near Marietta or Stone Mountain
A single session is $99 and includes a consultation. Many clients keep an infrared membership elsewhere and add an ozone session every week or two.
Ready to try it? Book a free consultation at our Marietta studio on Shawnee Trail SE (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) or our Stone Mountain studio on Rockbridge Road (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Call +1 678 938 8351 and we will find you a time.
Ozone sauna and lymphatic therapy are wellness services. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and results vary from person to person. Talk with your healthcare provider before starting any wellness program, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or are under treatment for a serious illness.
